Who Are Our Programmes for?

Encore MK's Creative Holiday Programmes are open to children aged 6–11. Whether your child loves performing, enjoys being creative or simply wants to try something new, they'll be warmly welcomed.No previous experience in singing, dance, art or filmmaking is needed.

Does my child need any previous experience?

Not at all. Encore MK is designed for children of all abilities and confidence levels. Whether your child loves performing or prefers creating behind the scenes, they'll be encouraged to participate in a way that feels comfortable for them.

What makes Encore MK different?

Encore MK has been created by parents and experienced educators to provide a smaller, more supportive alternative to many traditional holiday clubs.Our focus is on helping children build confidence, develop friendships and discover new interests through creativity in a welcoming, inclusive environment where every child feels seen, supported and valued.

Is the programme SEND-aware?

Yes.Our programme has been designed to be inclusive and SEND-aware. We recognise that every child is different and aim to create an environment where children feel supported to participate in a way that works for them.We provide smaller group sizes, calm sensory resources and opportunities for children to take time away from activities if they need to regulate and recharge.Whilst we're unable to provide one-to-one support during this pilot programme, we encourage parents to tell us about their child's individual needs when completing the registration form so we can plan appropriate support and make any reasonable adjustments wherever possible.

Why do I need to complete a registration form before booking?

Rather than taking payment immediately, we ask every family to complete a registration form first.This helps us get to know your child, understand any medical information or additional support needs, and ensure we're able to provide the best possible experience for everyone attending.If we're able to offer your child a place, we'll send you a secure payment link. Your child's place is confirmed once payment has been received.

Does completing the registration form guarantee a place?

No.Submitting a registration form is the first step in the booking process.We'll review every registration before confirming places. If we're able to offer your child a place, we'll email you with payment details. Places are only confirmed once payment has been received.

Question 8

How do subsidised places work?

Accepted Answer

Thanks to funding from Milton Keynes Community Foundation, we're able to offer six subsidised places on our full 5-day Summer Programme for children who are eligible for Pupil Premium.Eligible families pay £50 instead of £149.If your child receives Pupil Premium (or you believe they may be eligible), simply select the subsidised place option when completing your registration form.Applications are reviewed individually and handled in the strictest confidence. As funding is limited, applying does not guarantee a subsidised place.

What should my child bring?

What time does the programme run?

The programme runs from 9:00am to 3:00pm, Monday 10th to Friday 14th August 2026.Families are also warmly invited to our end-of-week showcase at 5:00pm on Friday 14th August, where children will have the opportunity to share what they've been creating throughout the week.We'll send full details about the showcase, along with arrival, collection and parking arrangements, in your Welcome Pack before the programme begins.

Where is the programme held?

Our first Summer Holiday Creative Programme will take place at: Two Mile Ash School, Milton Keynes. Full arrival information will be provided before the programme begins.

Can parents stay?

Accepted Answer

To help children settle and become independent, parents and carers won't stay during the programme. However, families are warmly invited to attend our end-of-week showcase on Friday afternoon, where they'll have the opportunity to celebrate everything the children have achieved.

Are your staff DBS checked?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The safety and wellbeing of every child is our highest priority. All staff working directly with children will hold an Enhanced DBS check appropriate for their role before the programme begins.

Question 14

What if my child is shy or nervous?

Accepted Answer

That's completely normal.Many children will join us without knowing anyone else. Our smaller group sizes and supportive approach help children settle in at their own pace, make new friends and grow in confidence throughout the week.There is never any pressure to perform, and every child is encouraged to participate in a way that feels comfortable for them. Some children spend their first morning quietly observing before joining in, and that's absolutely okay.

What if my child has allergies, medical needs or requires medication?

Your child's safety and wellbeing are our highest priority.We'll ask you to provide details of any allergies, medical conditions, dietary requirements or medication when completing the registration form. This information will be reviewed by our team before the programme begins so we can plan appropriate support.If your child needs medication during the day or has specific medical needs, we'll contact you before the programme to discuss any arrangements and ensure we have everything we need to support them safely.

What happens if my child can't attend after booking?

If your child is unable to attend after booking, please let us know as soon as possible.Any refunds will be considered in line with our Booking Terms & Conditions.

Do you offer payment plans?

Accepted Answer

We accept Klarna at checkout, allowing eligible customers to spread the cost of their booking. Klarna's payment options are subject to their approval and terms.
